Every summer, students across Jacksonville have a choice: coast through the break or lean into something bigger. At New Town Success Zone, the students enrolled in Think Bold All Access: DECODED are choosing bigger.
Think Bold All Access: DECODED is an active NTSZ program giving Jacksonville students hands-on exposure to modern industries through creativity, technology, and real-world experiences. It is not a classroom. It is not a lecture series. It is the kind of learning that changes what a student believes is possible for their own future.
What Think Bold All Access Actually Looks Like
Think Bold All Access: DECODED puts students inside industries that are actively shaping the world around them. Through a combination of creative exploration, technology-driven projects, and direct exposure to real-world career environments, students are not just learning about modern fields — they are working inside them.
The program is built on a simple but powerful premise: students who can see a path are far more likely to walk it. When young people interact with industries firsthand, the connection between today’s effort and tomorrow’s opportunity becomes real in a way that a textbook cannot replicate.
Participants leave each session with more than new knowledge. They leave with a shifted sense of what is available to them, and that shift is the whole point.
Why Hands-On Exposure Changes What Students Believe Is Possible
There is a well-documented gap between what students are taught and what the workforce actually needs. Many of the fastest-growing careers in technology, media, design, and data did not exist a decade ago. The ones that will define the next decade are still being invented.
Traditional classroom curricula, even excellent ones, move too slowly to keep pace with that kind of change. Programs like Think Bold All Access move differently. They bring students into contact with industries in motion, with professionals who are doing the work right now, and with tools and environments that reflect where things are actually headed.
This is how New Town Success Zone approaches the gap between education and opportunity — not by waiting for systems to catch up, but by building the bridge directly.
A Summer That Works for Students and Families
For families in the New Town community, summer is a critical window. When school ends, so does access to the structure, support, and enrichment that the school year provides. Think Bold All Access fills that window with something meaningful.
New Town Success Zone uses a Collective Impact Model to coordinate programming from early childhood through postsecondary education, which means Think Bold All Access does not operate in isolation. It connects to a broader network of resources designed to support students at every stage — academically, socially, and in terms of long-term preparation for life after school.
Summer programs like Think Bold ensure that students in the New Town community have access to enrichment opportunities during the months when school-based resources are unavailable. That access matters. Research consistently shows that summer learning opportunities are one of the most reliable ways to close opportunity gaps and sustain the momentum students build during the school year.
